- 1. Ensure the Wi-Fi Mesh is powered on and has been connected to the network. For more information see the Setting up the Wi-Fi Mesh topics.
- 2.
Ensure the mesh unit up off the floor away and as in the open as possible.
- 3.
Position the mesh unit away from objects made from metals, concrete, stone, porcelain, or glass. These materials can cause physical interference to the Wi-Fi network.
- 4.
The mesh unit should not be positioned too close or far from the router. When in an ideal position, the LED will turn green.
If the LED is orange, the positioning should try to be improved. If the LED is red, the mesh unit is too far from the router. - 5.
Position the mesh unit away from radio frequency (RF) emitting devices such as smart meters, baby monitors, home phones, Bluetooth devices, microwave ovens, or IoT devices.
- 6. Try to make sure the mesh unit is positioned within range of the router and central to all devices needing to connect, with as few obstructions as possible (some physical materials and RF emitting devices can cause interference to the Wi-Fi signal.)
