Router Quick Setup (Non Full Fibre)

- Wait until the Broadband start date before setting up the Router, and be aware that sometimes Broadband is only activated in the evening of the start date.
- 1. This guide shows installation of Non-full fibre broadband, using an standard BT Master Socket. If you are connecting via a ONT (Optical Network Terminal) please see the Router Quick Setup (Full Fibre) topic.

In the box you will find your Router, the Power Supply with UK adapter, 1 x Instruction booklet, 1 x Wi-Fi Keep Me Card, 1 x Broadband (DSL) cable (grey connectors), 1 x Ethernet network cable (yellow connectors) and 1 x Phone adapter cable.

Position the router making sure it’s up off the floor and as in the open as possible.
For more information see the Positioning your router topic. - 4. Assemble the router's plug. Make sure the two parts are correctly in line this will allow the two parts to slide together.If assembled correctly you should here a click as the plug fits together.
- 5. Turn over one part of the plug and line up the slots. Then slide the two parts of the plug together and connect to the mains power.
- 6. Connect to the mains power.

Connect the other end of the power supply to the router.
- 8. Plug the Broadband (DSL) cable (grey connectors) into the DSL port (grey) on the back of the router
- 9. If the BT wall socket has both broadband & telephone ports then plug the other end of the Broadband (DSL) cable (grey connectors) into the broadband port otherwise skip this step and use a Filter.
- 10. If the BT wall socket has no broadband port, plug the telephone connector end of a Filter into the BT wall socket.
- 11. Connect the other end of the Broadband (DSL) cable (grey connectors) into the Modem port of the Filter.
- 12. Switch on the Router by pressing the On/Off power switch on the back. The LED lights will flash whilst the broadband is activating.
- 13. Wait for the Status, Broadband and Internet lights on router to turn green.If it stays red for more than 10 mins it means the internet is not connected — check the broadband activation date and if it has passed then switch off the router for 3 mins and turn it back on again.
